The conference will be hosted by the University of Florida on its Gainesville campus. The Gainesville campus comprises more than 2000 acres of physical facilities to support the university's research and educational programs. Representatives of the host campus will offer tours of facilities and demonstrations of sustainability-related research during the two days.
For future conferences, we have invited the Council for Sustainable Florida to take the lead in identifying a host campus for this annual statewide conference.
We look forward to seeing you in October,
Dr. Mark Brown, Conference Chair
UF Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences
Dedee DeLongpré
Director, UF Office of Sustainability
Gainesville Regional Airport is serviced by Continental, Delta, Northwest, and US Airways. In addition, we have provided driving directions to each of the 3 recommended hotels on our Accommodations page.
On campus parking is extremely limited. Guests at the Reitz Union Hotel receive parking privileges in the parking garage adjacent to the Reitz Union for one vehicle per room. Parking passes and directions are distributed at check-in. Prior to check-in, guests may temporarily park in the loading zones in the Reitz Union's circle drive. Please note that these zones are for limited time periods and are for check-in, unloading, and loading purposes only. Guests should not park in handicapped parking spaces unless they have a handicap permit.
In addition, the entire parking garage adjacent to the Reitz Union has been reserved for conference participants. However, due to the limited number of parking spaces available, we strongly urge participants to carpool or walk, when possible, to the conference venue.
